Director, Justin Jarrett, and Executive Producer, James Brown (Emmy Award® winning host of CBS’s “NFL Today” and Showtime’s “Inside the NFL”), bring you a documentary that pleads with the heart and soul to cope with the tragic death of a son, brother, and best friend by honoring life—not loss. Discover how a group of close-knit friends decide to pay homage to the untimely loss of their best friend by cycling 3,000 miles across the United States to carry out one final promise. While the group embarks on this amazing journey to keep their friend’s legacy alive, we find out just how far friendship, faith, and family will carry them as they cope with death for the first time in their young lives.
Growing up in a small town in central Pennsylvania, Justin Jarrett, Aaron Klinger, and Kylar Krebs met in their neighborhood at the age of 4 and had been seemingly inseparable ever since. Over the years, they had become more than just friends; they were brothers. Eventually, the trio went off to separate colleges and found themselves apart from each other for the first time since they had met. On summer on their traditional car ride to the beach after their Junior year, a pact was made that upon graduation they would reunite to pursue the trip of a lifetime and cycle across the United States of America. Unfortunately, with only a few months between them and the trip, Aaron’s life was tragically taken in a car accident.
Following Aaron’s funeral, Justin decided that he would not let their dream slip away. He made a decision in the face of tragedy to keep his final promise and make the cross-country trip in Aaron’s honor. He persuaded a reluctant Kylar to join him in remembering their fallen brother along with the help of a goofy yet charismatic driver, Geoff Piraino, and a 1986 Winnebago—the newly formed trio took to the road to rediscover the meaning of life after death.
Join this group of friends on the journey of a lifetime as their old friendships are tested, new friendships are formed and the beauty of living each day to its fullest is found. You will laugh. You will cry. But, most importantly, you will find hope in the true meaning of friendship as they ride 3,000 miles For Aaron.
